I shout that out in my head and do a little happy dance each time I hit my “Pin It” button on my computers tool bar. It really is a fantastic, instant way to save everything you’ve been drooling over on the internet.

So, for those of you that don’t know what “Pin It” means, get out from under your rock and get thee over to Pinterest. ‘Nuff said. (Follow me by clicking the link on the right hand side of this page).

On to the good stuff. One of my favorite blogs, Young House Love, is hosting yet another Pinterest Challenge!

The goal is to complete a DIY project that you have had your sights set on tackling. Be it big or small. I love a good challenge and really enjoyed participating in the I Heart Organizing-Project Pretty challenge. It was a great opportunity to take myself to task on completing a project, especially one that directly benefited my sanity and the organization of my kitchen desk drawers (still looking neat and tidy I may add!). Now it’s time for the next challenge! I have a whole bunch of DIY projects pinned and I have chosen to complete a small project to share in this challenge. I’ve got a ton going on right now with work and other home projects in the planning phases and can’t spread myself too thin at the moment. So the project I have chosen is a great way to make something adorable for our home and for entertaining, provides instant gratification in that it can be easily accomplished, and uses some leftover materials from my wedding.

Oh, you’d like to know what it is already?!

I pinned an awesome tutorial for making coasters made from tile and scrapbook paper from a fantastic blog called The Cottage Home. Here is the tutorial.

Here is an example of the finished product from Lindsay, the talented blogger, over at The Cottage Home:

This project appealed to me immediately because I have some awesome scrapbook paper that I used for my DIY table numbers leftover and I figured this would be a perfect way to use some of it up. Also, having some fun coasters around the house made from materials from the wedding would be a fun little touch of nostalgia day-to-day.

Looking forward to working on this and I’ll share the finished product tomorrow! Look for it later this week over on the Young House Love site where I will link up my project and you can check out all the other awesome shares!
